Royal Jelly is your typical no-frills local donut shop and it always hits the spot. Note that it is CASH ONLY. Love the assortment of fresh donuts -- from the raspberry filled donuts, glazed twists, clear glaze, maple bars, you can't go wrong. The texture is so soft and pillowy, and I love how they're not too sweet either. The lady that helped us behind the counter was very nice and friendly. Great service, and even greater donuts!
Donuts in Vallejo! Doesn't disappoint and does it's job in satisfying the donut cravings! The lady who helped us was extremely friendly and the shop was very clean. They have a wide variety of donuts and we got there later in the morning and they were still stocked with donuts which was nice. I got a sugar donut and a few donut holes. They were tasty! The sugar donut definitely hit the spot. It's awesome to know that there's a great donut shop in Vallejo!
I love this donut shop for the following reasons: Always fresh. They make donuts all the time. Usually the cases have a great assortment. Cake, yeast filled, fritters, cinnamon rolls, bear claws. So many choices. I've never picked one I didn't like. My fav: Apple fritter, large cinnamon roll, coconut cake, chocolate old fashioned , twist, cake with sprinkles, Boston cream, blueberry jelly Great price. Cash only. Usually get a dozen for $20-$25. Krispy was $40 and it was crap. They are open late. I think until 8. Reminds me of my fav donut shops in LA. I think the best donuts are made at night. Family owned. So many family members working to support the business.
Was craving a roadtrip donut, and this popped up as the closest to where we were at the time. The donuts are good, its standard mom and pop donuts. My favorites were the old fashion donuts. Also, don't trust yelp. They don't take card. Luckily we had cash. Also, they didn't have milk. What kind of donut shop doesn't sell milk? That should be a crime
Growing up in Vallejo, Royal Jelly Donuts have been part of those go-to businesses. They have quality donuts. I went there late afternoon on Mother's Day. I was craving a chocolate donut. I was expecting a low count of donuts since it was 2 hours from closing. I was wrong. Their trays were completely full of all kind of selection: chocolate, sugar, glaze, maple, etc. I'm not sure if they consistently have this large of a selection every Sunday late afternoon, but at that time they did.
